Sale of High-Precision Aerial Photographs (Digital Ortho Archives)

We provide ortho-photographs, which have higher resolution than satellite data, in the form of word files as well as data. There is a wide range of applications for these photographs, from use in Geographic Information System (GIS), to pamphlets, advertising and publicity, creation of models, and journalism.


PASCO carries out its own brand of aerial photographic surveying and collects spatial information in the three metropolitan areas and other ordinance-designated cities. While a range of equipment is used to acquire information, ortho-photographic data, which can be overlapped with maps, is created through geometric correction after spatial information has been obtained. This ortho-photographic data is managed and sold as archives.
Typically, much expense is incurred in data capturing activities that include aircraft. However, it is possible to reduce such costs significantly through the use of archived data.

Since 2000, aerial photography has been carried out in many parts of Japan and the data is provided in the form of digital data with resolution of 40 cm and 1 m.
*The resolution referred to here is the size of the site that can be represented by 1 pixel.
